Yvonne Wilson

Special Educational Needs & Disability 

Chair of Trustees

Yvonne has over 30 years of academic and business management experience working with both SMEs and large international corporations.

 

Yvonne has also worked in further and higher education as a teacher, mentor, SENCO and manager. Her experience provides a valuable link between comprehensive business management and core academic principles.

 

She is highly committed to ensuring that our children receive the best possible education through a range of stimulating and exciting experiences and leave the preschool equipped with  the foundations to allow them to achieve and succeed in life.

Steve Smith

Treasurer

Steve is responsible for managing the financial well-being of the preschool to ensure it operates within its responsibilities in this regard.

 

Steve was also Chair of Community Benefit Society structured Findon Village Store, a thriving village-owned and operated business.

 

With a background in technology and the financial services sectors working for blue-chip companies, Steve brings over 40 years of experience in business management and consultancy. 

Steve's established network enables him to develop connections within the local community and promote preschool wherever possible.

Jennifer Taylor

Secretary &

Parent Voice Trustee

Jennifer moved to Findon Village in the Summer of 2019 with her husband and little girl from Hertfordshire.

 

Jennifer is currently a stay at home Mum, prior to this she worked for the Metropolitan Police Service in London as a member of police staff for 13 years.

 

Jennifer says 'We love living here and our community is extremely important to is. I have volunteered for this role as I believe the Preschool is an essential resource for our Village and with more families moving to the area it is vital we continue to support the Preschool.

 

I look forward to the coming years and am excited to see how we as a committee can enhance the current development.'

Yvette Pow

Learning & Development Trustee

Yvette has worked in Education for 22 Years and is currently a Maths Teacher at The Weald School in Billingshurst. 

 

During her time as an educator, she have been a Head of Department, an Advanced Skills Teacher, an Additional Learning Support Tutor and a Private Tutor and worked in Secondary, Further and Higher Education. She is also a mentor for training and newly qualified teachers and has worked with Sussex University on their Initial Teacher Training Programme. Yvette has experience of several Ofsted inspections and has also worked with an Academy in respect of  internal quality assurance.

 

Yvettew has lived in Findon Village for the past 6 years

Andrew Stowell

Compliance Trustee

Andrew is a Local Government Children’s Special Education and Disability Commissioner. Andrew has also worked in further and higher education as a senior leader, responsible for both academic delivery and student support services. His experience provides a valuable link between the preschool and West Sussex County Council. 

 

Andrew has a flair for compliance, funding methodologies and policy writing. His skills make him the perfect trustee to be the preschool’s designated data protection officer. 

 

Andrew is committed to ensuring the preschool is a qualitative provision and one that serves the needs of the communities it serves.
